Allied Health Professional (Program Lead) – Healthy Ageing Program

Nowra, Goulburn and Queanbeyan

Are you an experienced Allied Health Professional passionate about healthy ageing and community impact? Healthy Cities Australia is delivering a healthy ageing program in Nowra, Queanbeyan and Goulburn and is looking for allied health professionals to lead and facilitate this program in their local community.

This is a casual role that requires program facilitation for a 2-hour program, every week for 10 weeks. This is a Health Professional and Support Services Award (HPSSA) Level 1 Paypoint 4. The program will be delivered from August-October 2026 and from February-April 2027 in Queanbeyan, Nowra and Goulburn.

In this leadership role, you’ll provide clinical oversight and guidance to ensure safe, high‑quality program delivery while supporting older adults to improve their physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing through meaningful, everyday activities.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead clinical governance and ensure evidence‑based program delivery
  • Conduct or oversee participant assessments, goal setting, and outcomes
  • Mentor and support Allied Health Assistants and facilitators
  • Monitor program performance, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-qualified Allied Health Professional (e.g. OT, Physio, Dietitian, Exercise Physiology, Social Work, Dietitian)
  • Experience working with older adults and delivering group programs
  • Strong skills in assessment, goal setting, and outcome measurement
  • Experience in supervision, mentoring, or clinical leadership
  • Passion for community health, healthy ageing, and service excellence
  • Understanding of your local community

Healthy Cities Australia is delivering a healthy ageing program in Nowra, Queanbeyan and Goulburn and is looking for facilitators to help deliver this program in their local community.

This is a casual role (Health Professional and Support Services Award (HPSSA) Level 1 Paypoint 2) that requires program facilitation for a 2-hour program, every week for 10 weeks. The program will be delivered from August-October 2026 and February-April 2027. 

In this dynamic, community-focused role, you will help facilitate engaging group sessions that improve physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing. Working alongside experienced health professionals, you’ll support participants through meaningful activities that build confidence, independence, and connection.

What you’ll do:

  • Facilitate and support fun, structured group sessions
  • Encourage participation, motivation, and social connection
  • Assist with exercises, activity setup, and session delivery
  • Monitor participant wellbeing and ensure a safe environment
  • Support program coordination, admin, and data collection

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in health and wellbeing group programs
  • Passion for working with older adults
  • A relevant qualification (or equivalent experience) in allied health, personal training, community services, or similar
  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of your local community
